Your 4 Step Process to Synching Your Body, Blood Sugars, Hormones, Nutrition and Movement - So You Can Feel More Energized, Feel Less Resistance, and Finally Find More Predictability In Your Management.
I bet nobody told you.
Because surprise - nobody told me either.
The insulin resistance that you’re facing is your body telling you that something’s not in sync.
That's right, I'm telling you the high blood sugars you’re seeing are not because you’re “eating too many carbs”, “not working out enough” or “not losing enough weight” - those things are only contributing to more resistance.
TAKE IT FROM ME.
My doctors told me for years that those were the magic cure to controlling my blood sugars. So, like any patient who trusts their health care provider - I took their advice.
I TRIED LOSING THE WEIGHT...
Every person I trusted told me that weight gain = more insulin resistance, so I tried to keep myself small. I pushed myself to lose the weight that I didn’t have to lose. (5’2 and 105 lbs, the only thing I was ‘losing’ was myself.)
I FAILED THE LOW CARB DIETS..
I lived off the low carb diet that I hated. I replaced rice, potatoes and any other starches with extra veggies and cauliflower rice and even forced myself to be one of those people who like salad (Hint… I am not one of those people).
I PUSHED MYSELF AT THE GYM..
Every single day, after a stressful eight hours at work and two hours of a commute, I pushed myself through HIIT sessions and cardio to make sure I was doing "what was necessary" to manage my blood sugars.
It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in addition to type one that I realized all of these “protocols” we’re only adding more stress onto my (already-stressed) body, more inflammation, and most of all - more insulin resistance.
The problem with diets and programs in the diabetes space.
The linear approach was not created for the woman’s body.
Have you noticed the trend? Most of the diets, workout programs and advice we see in the diabetes space were created by men.
Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution..
Mastering Diabetes..
Check list workout programs like 75 Hard..
None of these were created with the female body in mind.
Why does this matter?
Our bodies can’t adapt to a linear approach because on a hormonal level, we live very different experiences each day.
We see changes in our insulin resistance.
We see changes in what nutrients it needs.
We see shifts in what movement it craves.
And we see that the same blood sugar supporting habits don’t always work.
Have you tried it too? To live in a routine - one set diet, one set structure - and felt the frustration seeing massively different results from one day to the next?
Me too.
WHAT WE SHOULD BE TAUGHT INSTEAD..
THE SIX KEY PLAYERS THAT IMPACT INSULIN SENSITIVITY
There are six key players that impact the internal, external and physical stress on our body, but our body cannot differentiate them so it treats it all the same. They all create the same impact on our nervous system and hence, impact our insulin sensitivity and blood sugar response.
Depending on the way we implement each key player, it can either support our insulin sensitivity OR insulin resistance. It's how we sync each one together that makes or breaks our blood sugars.
INSULIN SENSITIVITY IS MULTI-LAYERED
AND IT SHOULD BE TREATED THAT WAY
Insulin sensitivity and blood sugar response starts from the ground up. Our natural hormonal shifts create different bodily needs and demands through nutrition, movement & daily behaviors.
When we sync with the hormonal shifts that we experience on a month-long basis, we can anchor in the appropriate nutrition, exercise and behaviors that allow us to optimize our insulin sensitivity and strategize our dosing accordingly.
When we work from the ground up, we create a system that works for us instead of against us.

So what is the solution?
Your doctor may give you bandaid solutions but for true predictability in your blood sugars, you need the root-cause approach.
THAT'S WHERE WE COME IN.

Instead, can you imagine..
… Having a complete understanding of each key player (nutrition, movement, hormones, stress, hydration, sleep, etc) and how it plays a role in your blood sugar management?
… Learning how to sync each key player with your body, blood sugars and lifestyle with a full plan so you can feel more energized, see less resistance from your body and have more predictability in your blood sugars in return?
… Having a life with diabetes that doesn’t include exhaustion, frustration and burn out - and instead feeling in-sync, in-alignment and most of all, in control.
